summer is here!
and it brings so many of my favorite things…

pool days
sun + fun
ripe summer fruit
the smell of coconut in my favorite suntan lotion
the beach
baseball
lemonade
ice cream
summer books to read by the pool
warm breezes
potato salad
strawberries

what does summer look like to you?

I go back…

When I was little, we had this giant cherry bush in our yard. My sisters and I used to pick the cherries and eat them right off the bush.
For some crazy reason I always thought they were poisonous. {I think that is what my cousin used to tell us…}

meeting Giada…

I met Giada DeLaurentiis today! You know, the Giada. The one from the Food Network.
She was in town for a book signing event.  I went with my mom and my sisters. The minute we found out she was coming, we didn’t hesitate for even a second. We had to go! So after waiting in line for about 2 hours, we were standing in front of her.
pretty. tiny. sweet. {oh so sweet!} genuine. engaging. authentic.
The kind of girl you just know you would be instant friends with. Meeting her made me want to go buy all of her cool new kitchenware from Target, watch every episode of her fabulous cooking shows and make every recipe in her new book!
